Vegetable farm worker

Origin Organic Farms Inc. in Delta, BC is seeking a self-motivated Vegetable farm worker. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must apply fertilizers.
• The candidate must perform greenhouse cleaning.
• The candidate must guide growing shoots into optimal development positions.
• The candidate will be responsible for harvesting vegetables by hand.
• The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
• The candidate must clean work areas.
• The candidate must detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• A candidate with experience is an asset.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must work in hot conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in an urban area with a high population density.
