Truck trailer mechanic

DARK Enterprise ( Hearst, ON) is currently looking for a skilled Truck trailer mechanic. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Required shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
• The candidate must confirm findings with a supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace a unit.
• The candidate must discuss work with the supervisor.
• The candidate must inspect and test mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions.
• The candidate must inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
• The candidate must inspect motors in operation.
• The candidate must review work orders.
• The candidate must test automotive systems and components.
• The candidate must adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
• The candidate must adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems.
• The candidate must repair or replace mechanical units or components.
• The candidate must test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications.
• The candidate must estimate parts and labour costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• The candidate must perform scheduled maintenance service.
• The candidate must test and adjust units to specifications.
• The candidate must complete reports to record problems and work performed.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English or French.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Or equivalent experience.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.

• The candidate must be able to work in a garage.
• The candidate should work remotely or mobile, the practice of employees doing their jobs from a location other than a central office operated by the employer.
