BARNALA DRIVER TRAINING ACADEMY ( Steinbach, MB) is currently looking for a skilled Truck mechanic. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Work schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend, On call, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
• The candidate must confirm findings with a supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace a unit.
• The candidate must discuss work with the supervisor.
• The candidate must inspect and test mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions.
• The candidate must inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
• The candidate must inspect motors in operation.
• The candidate must review work orders.
• The candidate must road test motor vehicles.
• The candidate must test automotive systems and components.
• The candidate must adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
• The candidate must adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems.
• The candidate must repair or replace mechanical units or components.
• The candidate must test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications.
• The candidate must estimate parts and labour costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• The candidate must perform scheduled maintenance service.
• The candidate must test and adjust units to specifications.
• The candidate must advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
• The candidate must complete reports to record problems and work performed.
• The candidate must provide exceptional customer service.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be punctual.
