Truck driver

JOB CONNECTION GROUP INC. is situated in Mississauga, ON and is hiring a Truck driver to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This role offers Term or contractFull time employment. Required shifts: Morning, Day, Weekend, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must plan or adjust routes using computer equipment, GPS, or other navigation devices to optimize fuel efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.
• The candidate must demonstrate professionalism in customer service.
• The candidate must operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials safely.
• The candidate must perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.
• The candidate must record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
• The candidate must transport and handle dangerous goods.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be hardworking.
• The candidate must have patience.
