Truck driver

Galactica Logistics Inc in Delta, BC is inviting applications for the position of Truck driver. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. The schedule involves Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• The candidate must operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials safely.
• The candidate must oversee the condition of vehicles and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• The candidate must perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.
• The candidate must perform preventive maintenance.
• The candidate must receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• The candidate must record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.

Security and Safety

• The candidate must have a valid passport.
• The candidate must have basic security clearance.
• The candidate must be able to pass a driving record check (abstract).
• The candidate must be able to pass a drug test.
