Truck dispatcher

KARNAL FREIGHT SYSTEM ( Salt Springs, NS) is currently looking for a skilled Truck dispatcher. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position.

Job Description

• The candidate must ensure the accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll records, and other summaries.
• The candidate must ensure proper functioning of equipment.
• The candidate must organize warehouse and work areas.
• The candidate must perform general office duties.
• The candidate must provide exceptional customer service.
• The candidate must dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders.
• The candidate must dispatch personnel as required by emergency situations.
• The candidate must keep track of shipments.
• The candidate must maintain knowledge of cross-border dispatching regulations and practices.
• The candidate must maintain knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations.
• The candidate must process and transmit information and instructions to coordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment.
• The candidate must schedule assignments and coordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Equivalent professional experience accepted.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must have the ability to work independently.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate must be able to meet tight deadlines.
• The candidate should be willing to work under pressure.

Work Setting

• The candidate's relocation costs should be covered by the employer, allowing the employer to contribute to the employee's relocation costs incurred in moving closer to the company's offices or other work locations as required.
• The candidate must be able to work in the transportation sector.
