Truck and transport mechanic

Suyom's Automotive & Truck Shop LTD in Summerside, PE is inviting applications for the position of Truck and transport mechanic. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Shift timings include: Morning, Day, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
• The candidate must confirm findings with a supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace a unit.
• The candidate must inspect and test mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions.
• The candidate must inspect motors in operation.
• The candidate must adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems.
• The candidate must repair or replace mechanical units or components.
• The candidate must estimate parts and labour costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• The candidate must perform scheduled maintenance service.
• The candidate must test and adjust units to specifications.
• The candidate must complete reports to record problems and work performed.

• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be accurate.

• The candidate must work in dirty environments.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.

• The candidate should be willing to relocate and be ready to move to a new city/different city for a job.
