Foothills Truck & Trailer Service Ltd. is situated in Rocky View, AB and is hiring a Truck and transport mechanic to join the team. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Required shifts: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
• The candidate must inspect and test mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions.
• The candidate must review work orders.
• The candidate must adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems.
• The candidate must test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications.
• The candidate must perform scheduled maintenance service.
• The candidate must complete reports to record problems and work performed.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must have 3 to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be punctual.

Work Site Environment

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
