Trailer mechanic

Modern Truck and Trailer Repair Ltd ( Calgary, AB) is currently looking for a skilled Trailer mechanic. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. The schedule involves Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must confirm findings with a supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace a unit.
• The candidate must discuss work with the supervisor.
• The candidate must inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
• The candidate must review work orders.
• The candidate must adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems.
• The candidate must test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications.
• The candidate must estimate parts and labour costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• The candidate must perform scheduled maintenance service.
• The candidate must test and adjust units to specifications.
• The candidate must advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
• The candidate must complete reports to record problems and work performed.

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be accurate.

Work Setting

• The candidate's relocation costs should not be covered by the employer; if the company does not provide a relocation package, you may request an advance on your earnings to cover some of your moving expenses.
