Tilesetter

Northwest Stoneworks (2024) Inc in Surrey, BC is seeking a self-motivated Tilesetter. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered.
• The candidate must prepare rough plans and sketches.
• The candidate must cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
• The candidate must lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs.
• The candidate must cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite.
• The candidate must estimate costs and materials.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must have 3 to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
