Tilesetter

K & H Tile Inc is situated in Edmonton, AB and is hiring a Tilesetter to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Required shifts: Day, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered.
• The candidate must set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base.
• The candidate must align and straighten tiles.
• The candidate must pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout.
• The candidate must remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
• The candidate must build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets.
• The candidate must cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite.
• The candidate must mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
