Supervisor, vegetable packing

Platinum Produce Company is situated in Blenheim, ON and is hiring a Supervisor, vegetable packing to join the team. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Work schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend, Flexible hours, To be determined.

Job Description

• The candidate must train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
• The candidate must prepare production and other reports.
• The candidate must recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
• The candidate must supervise, coordinate, and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers.
• The candidate must establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units.
• The candidate must requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must work in cold or refrigerated conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a fruit and vegetable processing plant to operate machinery, process products, and maintain food safety standards.
