Supervisor, production - food and beverage processing

The Healthy Crunch Company in Mississauga, ON is inviting applications for the position of Supervisor, production - food and beverage processing. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Required shifts: Overtime required, Morning, Day, Shift, On call.

Job Description

• The candidate must minimize hazards at all stages of the food production process.
• The candidate must train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
• The candidate must recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions.
• The candidate must prepare production and other reports.
• The candidate must recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
• The candidate must supervise, coordinate, and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers.
• The candidate must establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units.
• The candidate must requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Equivalent professional experience accepted.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must uphold values and ethics.
• The candidate must be reliable.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must work in cold or refrigerated conditions.
• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a food processing plant.
