Stone saw operator

Comptoir Quarzo ( Saint-Alphonse-de-Granby, QC) is currently looking for a skilled Stone saw operator. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Flexible availability required for: Overtime required, Early morning.

Job Description

• The candidate must set up, adjust, and operate single-function machines to mix, drill, grind, and cut concrete to specifications.
• The candidate must check products for quality control.
• The candidate must move products using forklift, crane, or hydraulic hoist.
• The candidate must perform ongoing machine adjustments.
• The candidate must read blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
• The candidate must operate machines to drill holes in blocks or slabs of stone according to specifications.
• The candidate must read blueprints and drawings.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be bilingual.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.

Work Site Environment

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
