Stationary engineer

Usine de congélation de St-Bruno Inc, in Saint-Bruno, QC is seeking a self-motivated Stationary engineer. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Required shifts: Day, Evening, Shift, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must complete and maintain station records, logs and reports.
• The candidate must instruct apprentices.
• The candidate must assist in developing operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• The candidate must investigate problems and perform minor repairs.
• The candidate must monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect malfunctions and ensure normal operations.
• The candidate must operate automated or computerized control systems.
• The candidate must operate equipment in hydro, thermal and nuclear power plants.
• The candidate must perform routine equipment maintenance.
• The candidate must regulate water levels.
• The candidate must write plant or building operation reports.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in French.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a manufacturing and industrial plant operating a large factory to produce goods efficiently and reliably.
