Stair builder-carpenter

Spindle Factory in Edmonton, AB is inviting applications for the position of Stair builder-carpenter. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Required shifts: Day, , 07:00 to 15:30.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare layouts in conformance with building codes, using measuring tools.
• The candidate must measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• The candidate must fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be accurate.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must be able to work at heights.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in millwork or prefabrication shopwork to cut, assemble, and finish building components.
• The candidate must work in residential settings, performing tasks on one-, two-, and three-family dwellings.

• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.

• The candidate must be able to meet tight deadlines.
