Speech-language pathologist

Now hiring: Speech-language pathologist at Manitoba First Nations Education Resource Centre Inc. (MFNERC) in Winnipeg, MB. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Required shifts: Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must conduct speech-language tests and examinations.
• The candidate will be responsible for developing, planning, and implementing remedial programs to address speech, voice, language, resonance, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders.
• The candidate must establish personalized and group care plans as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• The candidate must provide advice and educational services to patients and families regarding communication and swallowing disorders.
• The candidate will be responsible for establishing personalized care plans while working collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
• The candidate must plan and implement habilitation/rehabilitation programs.
• The candidate must provide information to patients and families regarding the nature, extent, impact, and implications of hearing loss and treatment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must possess a master’s degree in a relevant field.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must be interpersonally aware.

Work Setting

• The applicant should be able to work in a school or educational institution/establishment comprising establishments that provide instruction and training in various subjects.
