Specialist chef

Curry and Chutney by Govinda's is situated in Etobicoke, ON and is hiring a Specialist chef to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Required shifts: Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
• The candidate must supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
• The candidate must prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets.
• The candidate must requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed.
• The candidate must plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
• The candidate must prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
• The candidate must recruit and hire staff.
• The candidate must supervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs, and cooks.
• The candidate must prepare doughs, batters, icings, and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must have 2 to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
