Elves Special Needs Society is situated in Edmonton, AB and is hiring a Special needs teacher - elementary school to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Early morning, Morning, Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must discuss results and students’ progress with students, parents and school officials.
• The candidate must evaluate and document students’ progress.
• The candidate must participate in staff meetings.
• The candidate must develop course content.
• The candidate must lead students in activities that promote physical, mental and social development and school readiness.
• The candidate must prepare subject material in accordance with an approved curriculum.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.
• The candidate should be willing to work under pressure.

• The candidate should be willing to relocate and be ready to move to a new city/different city for a job.
