La Luce Ristorante is situated in North York, ON and is hiring a Sous-chef to join the team. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Work schedule: Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
• The candidate must supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
• The candidate must instruct cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
• The candidate must supervise cooks and other kitchen staff.
• The candidate must prepare and cook meals or specialty foods.
• The candidate must plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
• The candidate must supervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs, and cooks.
• The candidate must train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• The candidate must have 3 to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in restaurants that are generally fast-paced and require the utmost efficiency.
