Job Description

The candidate must maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
The candidate must analyze operating costs and other data.
The candidate must demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to cooking staff.
The candidate must instruct cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
The candidate must supervise cooks and other kitchen staff.
The candidate must prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions.
The candidate must prepare and cook meals or specialty foods.
The candidate must requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed.
The candidate must arrange for equipment purchases and repairs.
The candidate must plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
The candidate must recruit and hire staff.
The candidate must supervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs, and cooks.
The candidate must train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Job Requirements

The candidate must be fluent in English.
The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
Or equivalent experience.
