Snowboarding instructor

Mt Seymour Resorts Ltd in North Vancouver, BC is seeking a self-motivated Snowboarding instructor. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Terms of employment: Seasonal employment or Full time. Required shifts: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible hours, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must demonstrate and instruct athletic, fitness, or sports activities and techniques.
• The candidate must keep logs and maintain records.
• The candidate must supervise staff.
• The candidate must assist with coordination of recreational, sport, and fitness events.
• The candidate must lead groups and individuals in recreational or leisure programs.
• The candidate must plan and carry out recreational, fitness, and sports activities.
• The candidate must maintain and repair sports equipment.
• The candidate must prepare reports.
• The candidate must understand principles of group dynamics.
• The candidate must lead and instruct groups.
• The candidate must lead and instruct individuals.
• The candidate must conduct therapeutic recreational or athletic activities.
• The candidate must assist clients/guests with special needs.
• The candidate must ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
• The candidate must assemble supplies, sports, and game equipment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate should be client-focused.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
