Ski instructor

Mt Seymour Resorts Ltd is situated in North Vancouver, BC and is hiring a Ski instructor to join the team. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This role offers Seasonal employment or Full time employment. Flexible availability required for: Day, Evening, Weekend, To be determined.

Job Description

• The candidate must demonstrate and instruct athletic, fitness, or sports activities and techniques.
• The candidate must keep logs and maintain records.
• The candidate must supervise staff.
• The candidate must lead groups and individuals in recreational or leisure programs.
• The candidate must plan and carry out recreational, fitness, and sports activities.
• The candidate must maintain and repair sports equipment.
• The candidate must understand principles of group dynamics.
• The candidate must lead and instruct groups.
• The candidate must lead and instruct individuals.
• The candidate must assist clients/guests with special needs.
• The candidate must ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
• The candidate must monitor recreational, sports, or fitness activities to ensure safety and provide emergency or first aid assistance when required.

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.

• The candidate must work in a ski centre or resort to manage operations, support guests, and maintain facilities.
