Shellfish processing labourer

Les Pêcheries SBL is situated in Saint-Raymond, QC and is hiring a Shellfish processing labourer to join the team. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This is a Seasonal employment or Full time position. Shift timings include: Overtime required, Day, Evening, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must unload fish and shellfish from vessels and transport by hand.
• The candidate must transport fish and shellfish to the designated work area.
• The candidate must clean machines and immediate work areas.
• The candidate must sort fish according to species, weight, and destination.
• The candidate must manually pack goods into bags, boxes, or other containers.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English or French.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
• The candidate must work in cold or refrigerated conditions.
• The candidate must work in wet or damp conditions.
