Sewer - garment manufacturing

Sew Industries Inc. in Scarborough, ON is inviting applications for the position of Sewer - garment manufacturing. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position.

Job Description

• The candidate must perform minor repairs and adjustments to equipment.
• The candidate must operate sewing machines to assemble garment sections into finished products on a production basis.
• The candidate must operate sewing machines or sew by hand.
• The candidate must set in sleeves, pockets, collars and other garment pieces.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be reliable.

Work Site Environment

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.

• The candidate should be willing to work for long hours in sitting positions.
