BP Machine Ltd. ( Edmonton, AB) is currently looking for a skilled Safety officer. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Work schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, On call, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must administer staff consultation and grievance procedures.
• The candidate must direct and control daily operations.
• The candidate must evaluate daily operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• The candidate must motivate staff.
• The candidate must plan and control budget and expenditures.
• The candidate must provide information and training to employers, employees, and the general public.
• The candidate must train staff to ensure proficiency in their roles.
• The candidate must establish and implement operational policies and procedures.
• The candidate must inspect spills of hazardous chemicals or products.
• The candidate must oversee the classification and rating of occupations.
• The candidate must inspect workplaces for safety or health hazards.
• The candidate must investigate workplace accidents or illnesses.
• The candidate must manage training and development strategies.
• The candidate must oversee the analysis of employee data and information.
• The candidate must develop and implement health and safety plans.
• The candidate must oversee the preparation of reports.
• The candidate must respond to employee questions and complaints.
• The candidate must evaluate work environments, programs, and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury.

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree.
• The candidate must have the ability to work independently.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate should be willing to work under pressure.
• The candidate must be able to meet tight deadlines.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate must be able to distinguish between colours.

• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.

• The candidate should work in an urban area with a high population density.
• The candidate should work in a manufacturing and industrial plant operating a large factory to produce goods efficiently and reliably.
• The candidate must work in manufacturing industry to operate machinery, assemble products, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
• The candidate should work in the private sector in any office or work area that is not open to the public in the ordinary course of business except by individual invitation.
