Route driver

Hillary Dry Cleaners in Ottawa, ON is seeking a self-motivated Route driver. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Required shifts: Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand.
• The candidate must operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver items and products.
• The candidate must demonstrate professionalism in customer service.
• The candidate must receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• The candidate must sell products over established routes.
• The candidate must assemble, install, and set up merchandise/products.
• The candidate must keep a record of items received and delivered.
• The candidate must prepare, package, and restock goods.
• The candidate must load and unload goods efficiently.
• The candidate must sort packages for delivery.
• The candidate must use maps and other trip planning aids.
• The candidate must record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems.
• The candidate must provide exceptional customer service.
• The candidate must perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should be client-focused.
