Retail sales associate

Little Treasures Kids LTD in Vancouver, BC is seeking a self-motivated Retail sales associate. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This role offers Permanent employment - Part time leading to full time employment. Flexible availability required for: Morning, Day, Weekend, Shift, On call, , 10:00 to 18:00.

Job Description

• The candidate must accept cash, cheque, credit card, or automatic debit payments.
• The candidate must operate the cash register accurately.
• The candidate must operate computerized inventory record-keeping and re-ordering systems.
• The candidate must provide advice regarding merchandise to customers.
• The candidate must advertise and/or promote products, sales, or services.
• The candidate must perform data entry.
• The candidate must provide exceptional customer service.
• The candidate must assist in the display of merchandise.
• The candidate must conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce.
• The candidate must greet customers and discuss the type, quality, and quantity of merchandise or services sought for purchase, rental, or lease.
• The candidate must maintain sales records for inventory control.
• The candidate must prepare merchandise for purchase, rental, or lease.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting 3 months to less than 1 year.
• Equivalent professional experience accepted.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
• The candidate must be energetic.

• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
• The candidate must be able to work in a clothing store.
• The candidate should work in a retail business, purchasing goods from manufacturers or wholesalers, and selling these goods to consumers in small quantities.
• The candidate should work in a shoe store to help customers find the right pair.
• The candidate should work in a shopping center or mall and provide a business place that includes retail space/units, facilities, and services to potential retailers.
