Retail pharmacist

LV Lynn Valley Pharmacy in Burnaby, BC is seeking a self-motivated Retail pharmacist. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. We are offering a Permanent employment - Part time leading to full time opportunity. Shift timings include: Morning, Day, Evening.

Job Description

• The candidate must advise customers on indications, contraindications, adverse effects, drug interactions, and dosage.
• The candidate must dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or other healthcare professionals.
• The candidate must order and maintain pharmaceutical supplies.
• The candidate must advise customers on non-prescription medication use.
• The candidate must check prescriptions for proper dosage.
• The candidate must maintain medication profiles of customers, including registry of poisons and controlled drugs.
• The candidate must manage storage, packaging and distribution of medicinal products.
• The candidate must supervise and coordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians, and staff.
• The candidate must evaluate labelling, packaging, and advertising of drug products.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree.
• A candidate with experience is an asset.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a community or retail pharmacy to dispense medications, provide patient counselling, and ensure regulatory compliance.
