Vessel Meats Inc is situated in Dartmouth, NS and is hiring a Retail butcher to join the team. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Flexible availability required for: Morning, Day, Weekend, , 09:00 to 18:00.

Job Description

• The candidate must clean meats to prepare them for processing or cutting.
• The candidate must cut carcasses, sides, and quarters of meat.
• The candidate must prepare special cuts of meat as ordered by customers.
• The candidate must cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat.
• The candidate must wrap and package prepared meats.
• The candidate must remove bones from meat.
• The candidate must weigh meats for sale.
• The candidate must cut poultry into parts.
• The candidate must price meat products.
• The candidate must sell meats to customers.
• The candidate must grind meats.
• The candidate must make special sausages.
• The candidate must slice cooked meats.
• The candidate must prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products.
• The candidate must shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood.

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
