Registered nurse (R.N.)

Mahone Bay Nursing Home ( Mahone Bay, NS) is currently looking for a skilled Registered nurse (R.N.). The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This role offers Casual employment - Part time leading to full time employment. The schedule involves Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On call shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must assist health care practitioners during examinations or treatments.
• The candidate must monitor patients and advise physicians of any changes in patients' conditions.
• The candidate must address and document symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions.
• The candidate must assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions.
• The candidate must collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families.
• The candidate must conduct disease screening.
• The candidate must deliver health education programs.
• The candidate must engage in research activities related to nursing.
• The candidate must operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment.
• The candidate must provide consultative services on matters related to the nursing profession and nursing practice.
• The candidate must provide nursing care.
• The candidate must provide supportive counselling and life skills programming.
• The candidate must supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff.
• The candidate must perform administrative tasks.
