Job Description

  • The candidate must administer medications as prescribed.
  • The candidate must apply aseptic techniques including sterile dressing.
  • The candidate must ensure infection control.
  • The candidate must monitor nutritional intake.
  • The candidate must prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and sterilizing operative areas.
  • The candidate must record observations of medication therapeutic effects and side effects in patient files.
  • The candidate must take vital signs.
  • The candidate must provide safety and health education to individuals and their families.
  • The candidate must provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures.
  • The candidate must monitor patients’ progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with appropriate members of the healthcare team.
