Registered dental hygienist

Dr Jimmy W Chan Inc. in Richmond, BC is seeking a self-motivated Registered dental hygienist. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment - Part time. Flexible availability required for: Evening, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must conduct initial dental assessments.
• The candidate must consult with dentists on patient care.
• The candidate must supervise dental assistants in their health care functions.
• The candidate must instruct patients regarding oral hygiene.
• The candidate must clean and stimulate the gums to prevent gum disease.
• The candidate must apply fluoride treatment.
• The candidate must remove stains and deposits from teeth.
• The candidate must administer local anesthetics.
• The candidate must take, develop, and mount X-rays.
• The candidate must diagnose type and severity of diseases.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a Registered Apprenticeship certificate.
• Or equivalent experience.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be interpersonally aware.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a dental practice to assist with patient care, support dental procedures, manage records, and ensure smooth daily operations.
