Recreation therapy assistant

Vancouver Coastal Health in Squamish, BC is inviting applications for the position of Recreation therapy assistant. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. We are offering a Term or contractPart time opportunity.

Job Description

• The candidate must assist health care professionals as needed.
• The candidate must set up and dismantle equipment.
• The candidate must prepare and maintain equipment and supplies.
• The candidate must maintain an inventory of equipment.
• The candidate must perform general clerical duties.
• The candidate must organize and maintain inventory.
• The candidate must coordinate recreation activities.
• The candidate must accompany clients to appointments and social outings.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work from a remote location, performing their duties from a site other than the employer’s central office while maintaining productivity and communication.
• The candidate must work in chronic or long-term care facilities to provide care, support residents’ health, and assist staff.

Transportation/travel information

• The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
