Quality control technician (except chemical)

Lempiala Sand & Gravel Limited in Thunder Bay, ON is seeking a self-motivated Quality control technician (except chemical). We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time.

Job Description

• The candidate must collect and analyze data and samples.
• The candidate must perform physical and chemical laboratory tests.
• The candidate must conduct routine laboratory tests and sample analyses.
• The candidate must conduct routine tests for product specifications.
• The candidate must maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• The candidate must advise senior management.
• The candidate must grade and label raw materials or finished products.
• The candidate must coordinate the flow of information within the team.
• The candidate must collect samples and perform other laboratory tests.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years or equivalent experience.
• The candidate must have 2 to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must have strong time management skills.
