AIR STAR PACKAGING INC is situated in Mississauga, ON and is hiring a Production supervisor – plastic products manufacturing to join the team. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity.

Job Description

• The candidate must supervise, coordinate, and schedule activities of production workers who operate processing machines and fabricate, assemble, finish, or inspect plastic or rubber parts and products.
• The candidate must establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units.
• The candidate must recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions.
• The candidate must prepare production and other reports.
• The candidate must recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
• The candidate must train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
• The candidate must requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• The candidate must transport raw materials, finished products and scrap materials through the plant.
• The candidate must start up and shut down systems.
• The candidate must perform ongoing machine adjustments.
• The candidate must ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met.
• The candidate must conduct safety training programs.
• The candidate must co-ordinate activities with warehouse and production units.
• The candidate must monitor production and troubleshoot production problems.
• The candidate must identify customers’ needs.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must uphold values and ethics.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.

• The candidate must work in plastic products manufacturing to operate machinery, produce goods, and ensure quality and safety.
