Press operator - printing

Blue Mountain Plastics Inc. in Shelburne, ON is inviting applications for the position of Press operator - printing. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Work schedule: Overtime required, Day, Night, Weekend, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must advise press crews on product specifications or material requirements.
• The candidate must mount plates or cylinders and make necessary adjustments.
• The candidate must review job orders to determine production time, colour sequence and required quantities.
• The candidate must set up the press and operate it at slow speed to check samples.
• The candidate must monitor regular press runs for quality using a computer control console.
• The candidate must remove and clean plates and cylinders at the end of the press run.
• The candidate must maintain internal record-keeping systems.
• The candidate must set up and adjust production machineries/tools.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting 3 months to less than 1 year.
• The candidate must be accurate.

Work Setting

• The candidate should be willing to relocate and be ready to move to a new city/different city for a job.
• The candidate must work in plastic products manufacturing to operate machinery, produce goods, and ensure quality and safety.
