Poultry preparer

Volaille Giannone s.e.c. in Saint-Cuthbert, QC is inviting applications for the position of Poultry preparer. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Shift timings include: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening.

Job Description

• The candidate must cut beef, lamb, pork, or veal carcasses or sides into primal cuts for further processing or packaging.
• The candidate must remove feathers, singe, and wash poultry to prepare for further processing or packaging.
• The candidate must cut meat and poultry into specific cuts for institutional, commercial, or wholesale use.
• The candidate must remove bones from meat.
• The candidate must pack goods to be shipped.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in French.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.

Work Site Environment

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
• The candidate must work in hot conditions.
• The candidate must work in cold or refrigerated conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in slaughter houses.
• The candidate should work in a meat processing and packing plant/establishment that protects meat and meat products during processing, storage, and distribution from mechanical, chemical, and biological hazards.
• The candidate's relocation costs should not be covered by the employer; if the company does not provide a relocation package, you may request an advance on your earnings to cover some of your moving expenses.
• The candidate must work in a poultry processing plant to process, package, and inspect products while adhering to health and safety regulations.
