Vandalia Farms in Smithville, ON is inviting applications for the position of Poultry farm labourer. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Shift timings include: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, On call, To be determined, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must handle animals.
• The candidate must monitor animal health.
• The candidate must track and report on current feed inventory.
• The candidate must perform weeding.
• The candidate must feed and tend animals.
• The candidate must assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are strictly followed.
• The candidate must maintain livestock performance records.
• The candidate must maintain quality control and production records.
• The candidate must supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations.
• The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
• The candidate must maintain accurate work records and logs.
• The candidate must detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry.
• The candidate must perform general farm duties.
• The candidate must write daily basic progress reports.
• The candidate must set and monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops.
