Plumber apprentice

Everest Drain & Plumbing Inc. ( East York, ON) is currently looking for a skilled Plumber apprentice. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Required shifts: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On call, Flexible hours, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network, and waste and drainage systems.
• The candidate must prepare tenders and quotations.
• The candidate must instruct apprentices.
• The candidate must locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
• The candidate must cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings.
• The candidate must join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, soldering, brazing, or welding equipment.
• The candidate must test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
• The candidate must determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
• The candidate must supervise other workers.
• The candidate must estimate costs and materials.
• The candidate must measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shape and size.
• The candidate must use maps and other trip planning aids.

• The candidate should work in the industrial area with facilities such as factories, plants, processing operations, and similar operations.

• The candidate's relocation costs should not be covered by the employer; if the company does not provide a relocation package, you may request an advance on your earnings to cover some of your moving expenses.
