Personal support worker – nursing care

Manitoulin Centennial Manor ( Little Current, ON) is currently looking for a skilled Personal support worker – nursing care. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On call, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must supply and empty bed pans.
• The candidate must take patients’ blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• The candidate must serve meal trays and feed patients.
• The candidate must weigh, lift, turn, and position patients.
• The candidate must make beds and maintain patients’ rooms.
• The candidate must bathe, dress, and groom patients.
• The candidate must transport patients in wheelchairs or stretchers.
• The candidate must collect specimens.
• The candidate must administer first aid in emergency situations.
• The candidate must provide personal care.
• The candidate must provide companionship.
• The candidate must perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• The candidate must launder clothing and household linens.
• The candidate must administer bedside and personal care to clients.
• The candidate must feed or assist in feeding.
• The candidate must assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
