Job Description

  • The candidate must calculate and prepare cheques for payroll.
  • The candidate will be responsible for preparing employee earnings statements, detailing gross and net salaries, as well as deductions such as taxes, union dues, garnishments, and insurance and pension contributions.
  • The candidate must complete and submit documentation for administration of benefits such as pension plans, leaves, share savings, employment, and medical insurance.
  • The candidate must inform employees about payroll matters and benefit plans.
  • The candidate must maintain payroll.
  • The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of employee attendance, leave, and overtime to calculate pay and benefit entitlements using manual or computerized systems.
  • The candidate must prepare T4 statements and other required payroll documentation.
  • The candidate must maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • The candidate must ensure the accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll records, and other summaries.
  • The candidate must administer policies and procedures related to the release of records under government access to information and privacy legislation.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate must be fluent in English.
  • The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
  • The candidate must be accurate.
