Quality & Company Inc. ( Maple, ON) is currently looking for a skilled Patternmaker-upholsterer. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Early morning, Morning, Day shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must lay out master patterns on fabric and cut sample patterns.
• The candidate must construct patterns and templates.
• The candidate must create pattern size variations from master patterns using drafting tools or computers.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a warehouse, which can be a noisy, busy place to work, with hundreds of warehouse operatives, pickers, and packers, working alongside many forklift truck drivers who are moving pallets between shelves.

• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate must be able to distinguish between colours.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
