Nursery labourer

Jardin Tom Pousse is situated in Sainte-Marguerite-du-Lac-Masson, QC and is hiring a Nursery labourer to join the team. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Position status: Term or contractFull time. Work schedule: Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must perform greenhouse cleaning.
• The candidate must mix fertilizers.
• The candidate must perform weeding.
• The candidate must spray or dust plants with insecticides and fungicides.
• The candidate must assist in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants.
• The candidate must mix and prepare soils.
• The candidate must plant bulbs and seeds.
• The candidate must pot and re-pot plants.
• The candidate must apply fertilizers.
• The candidate must water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
• The candidate must clean work areas.
• The candidate must provide advice regarding merchandise to customers.
• The candidate must operate industrial trucks, tractors, and other mobile equipment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English or French.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must work in wet or damp conditions.
• The candidate must work in hot conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
• The candidate must be able to work in an on-site customer service environment, such as an office or business location.
