Job Description

The candidate must prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
The candidate must prepare pre-qualification submissions to present to clients.
The candidate must read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
The candidate must prepare master format estimates (Class A).
The candidate must prepare elemental format estimates (Classes B, C, D).
The candidate must prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads.
The candidate must project cash flow and financing requirements.
The candidate must create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms.
The candidate must analyze tenders and recommend awards.
The candidate must set up cost monitoring and reporting systems.
The candidate must monitor and adjust contract expenditures.
The candidate must prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors.
The candidate must liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

Job Requirements

The candidate must be fluent in English.
The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
