Nursery labourer

East Richmond Nurseries Inc. is situated in Richmond, BC and is hiring a Nursery labourer to join the team. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This role offers Seasonal employment or Full time employment. Flexible availability required for: Morning, Day, Weekend, , 06:00 to 16:30.

Job Description

• The candidate must clean crops effectively.
• The candidate must cut horticultural crops.
• The candidate must perform greenhouse cleaning.
• The candidate must harvest seedlings.
• The candidate must manually remove all suckers and water sprouts.
• The candidate must tie and secure plants.
• The candidate must perform weeding.
• The candidate must spray or dust plants with insecticides and fungicides.
• The candidate must assist in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants.
• The candidate must pot and re-pot plants.
• The candidate must apply fertilizers.
• The candidate must water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
• The candidate must clean work areas.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be reliable.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must work in wet or damp conditions.
• The work environment is smoke-free.
