Nursery labourer

Clayburn Nursery Ltd in Chilliwack, BC is inviting applications for the position of Nursery labourer. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must clean crops effectively.
• The candidate must cut horticultural crops.
• The candidate must perform greenhouse cleaning.
• The candidate must operate climate controls.
• The candidate must tie and secure plants.
• The candidate must write daily basic progress reports.
• The candidate must assist in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants.
• The candidate must mix and prepare soils.
• The candidate must pot and re-pot plants.
• The candidate must report signs of insect or disease damage.
• The candidate must dig up wrapping rootballs of trees and shrubs.
• The candidate must water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
• The candidate must clean work areas.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must work in wet or damp conditions.
• The candidate must work in hot conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in staff accommodation that offers live-in accommodation when an employer provides a housing offer to its employees.
