Job Description
- The candidate must collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team.
- The candidate must coordinate patient care services.
- The candidate must evaluate patient care and progress.
- The candidate must implement an interdisciplinary plan of care.
- The candidate must interpret medical test results.
- The candidate must monitor patients and advise physicians of any changes in patients' conditions.
- The candidate must order medical diagnostic or clinical tests.
- The candidate must plan patient care.
- The candidate must ensure infection control.
- The candidate must care for, assess, and monitor the health of newborns, referring infants to appropriate medical services as needed.
- The candidate must advise patients on health care.
- The candidate must examine patients, record their medical histories, and consult with physicians and other healthcare practitioners to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health.
- The candidate must order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures.
- The candidate must conduct patient interviews, physical assessments and take medical histories.
- The candidate must inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases.
- The candidate must provide health maintenance education.
- The candidate must provide personal care.
- The candidate must design and implement health and wellness projects or programs.
- The candidate must help patients develop healthy habits, break old habits, and reshape their approach to wellness.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must be fluent in English.
- The candidate must possess a master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Equivalent experience is acceptable.
Work Setting
- The candidate must work in a hospital, medical facility, or clinic, including departments or outpatient centers focused on sports medicine, rehabilitation, or wellness.
- The candidate must work in a private practice.
- The candidate should work in public or community health centre providers may work in medical clinics, community health centres and allied health practices, such as physiotherapy and podiatry practices.
