Nurse aide

EAST COAST HOMECARE is inviting applications for the position of Nurse aide. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Work schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Flexible hours. This position offers the option to work remotely.

Job Description

• The candidate must supply and empty bed pans.
• The candidate must take patients’ blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• The candidate must serve meal trays and feed patients.
• The candidate must weigh, lift, turn, and position patients.
• The candidate must make beds and maintain patients’ rooms.
• The candidate must bathe, dress, and groom patients.
• The candidate must transport patients in wheelchairs or stretchers.
• The candidate must administer first aid in emergency situations.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must have patience.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.
