Numerically controlled (NC) machinist

OUTILLAGES AVITEC INC. in Montréal, QC is inviting applications for the position of Numerically controlled (NC) machinist. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Shift timings include: Day, Evening.

Job Description

• The candidate must read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables.
• The candidate must set up and adjust production machineries/tools.
• The candidate must verify dimensions of machined parts using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
• The candidate must set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English or French.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• Equivalent experience is acceptable.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be a quick learner.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in aviation or aerospace manufacturing to assemble, inspect, and maintain aircraft or aerospace components, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
